在歐元區央行即將召開的會議前，日本發布的較弱的 PPI（生產者價格指數）數據削弱了日本央行的鷹派信號，導致日元的一些賣出。事實上，日本核心 PPI 在八月下降了 0.2%，年率也超出預期地從七月的 3.0% 降至 2.5%。
同時，股市的正面走勢減少了對避險貨幣日元的需求，這支撐了 EUR/JPY 兌換對的走勢。
然而，日本央行董事會成員 Tamura Naoki 的言論確認中央銀行可能在年底前進一步提高借貸成本，這突顯了兩個央行之間的重大分歧，對日元提供了一些支撐。
因此，在確認 EUR/JPY 匯率已見底之前，最好等到有更強勁的後續買壓。
